Vision Statement
“Graduates will be college ready, career ready, life ready and they will be sought after to become Georgia’s premier workforce.”
Mission Statement
"We engage students with a career-focused education in a values-driven culture to prepare our graduates to excel"
The Criminal Justice program at CCA supports the mission and vision statements by working with students to make them successful. Our number one priority is to help the students graduate. Our programs actively assist our core teachers by reinforcing literacy and numeracy standards in our lessons and allowing students to apply that knowledge to real-world and program-specific scenarios.
Our school is also committed to professional development. CCA uses an EQ training curriculum provided by EQ Bridge. Once a week, our programs attend training sessions on various topics of emotional intelligence. By the time students complete the program, they have completed three classes of professional development and can be certified in Emotional Intelligence.
The Criminal Justice program at CCA follows the TCSGA standards for coursework. The instructor also incorporates hands-on education, guest speakers from industry, and speakers from the military and post-secondary institutions to reinforce standards. Students can earn up to 24 hours of Criminal Justice coursework through Georgia Northwestern Technical College. Criminal Justice students can also become certified as Jailers and Communications Officers through GaPOST.
