The new sight word list will be sent home this week and subtraction facts from 5-0 were sent home before the Mardi Gras break, so please put all of these words and Math equations on flash cards! Try having them write the sight words on the flash cards! We have adjusted the reading levels of the books that are will come home according to reading results during report card testing. These books, their comprehension of what they are reading, and knowing their sight words help improve their reading levels. Please be diligent about listening to them read to you, AND don't forget to ask them questions about the story after they have read it. If the books seem too challenging or too easy, please let us know and we will switch them out with other ones; you don't have to wait until the next week!
Report cards will go home on Wednesday. You will keep the copy that will be sent home to remind you of what will need to be worked on over the next few months. We are very proud of the hard work they have put forth, and progress they have made!

As we draw closer to 1st grade, we will be expecting more from them, and they will need to show us they are ready! We need them to pay close attention to their work, listen to directions carefully, and check for mistakes. This is necessary and will benefit them next year! At this point in the year they should be very familiar with the correct formation of letters and numbers. We should be seeing less and less letter and number reversals. Please make sure they are completing extra practice at home if you are noticing reversals on their papers; they need to be aware when they are forming them backwards!

We are very low on hand sanitizer and Meyers, Clorox, or Lysol all-purpose spray cleaner.
We would like the girls to bring a bottle of hand sanitizer and
the boys to bring some type of bleach-free spray cleaner for the tables.
