Art Department Faculty:
Cheri Paysour (Co-Sponsor NAHS Club)
Classes: BVD, Intermediate, Proficient, Advance Art as well as all Sculpture classes.
Education: Graduated from Maiden High School. Bachelors of Art Education at Western Carolina University. Masters from Gardner Webb University.
"I have coached middle school volleyball and girls basketball & high school JV girls basketball. Played high school basketball JV & Varsity.
Teaching is my passion and calling. Making a difference in students lives and seeing their faces light up with accomplish is what brings me joy in my job. Painting and clay are my two favorite mediums to work with in my classes."

Elizabeth Taylor (Co-Sponsor NAHS Club)
Classes: BVD, all Photography, Upper levels as schedule allows and Yearbook.
Education: Graduated from Fred T. Foard High School. Bachelors of Art Education with a minor in English from Appalachian State University and a Masters of Art in Art Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
"Teaching art has always been part of who I am: I love working with 'my kids', seeing what they can create and achieve. I have combined some of my favorite things in being a yearbook advisor (photography, design and writing) and have loved being able to create something with my staff that impacts the entire school. Colored pencil is one of my favorite media to teach."
