Temperature Checkers

• All students will need their temperature taken before going into class.

• There will be 6 stations (called Zones- see map) where their temperatures will be taken.

• Please go to the Principal’s office by 9:40 am to pick up a thermometer and stickers from Pasupathi (Health and Safety Officer)

• Please go to your assigned Zone with the thermometer by 9:45 am

• Make sure the thermometer is working and test to make sure that your temperature is not over 100 F.

• Ask the students that come to your Zone to form a line, on a first come first served basis.

• Check temperatures of all students to make sure it is not over 100 F.

• If any child seems sick or has a temperature over 100, ask the parents to take them back (No attendance trophy this year, so parents do not have to bring a sick child to school, the students can catch up with school work for the week, with parents’ help).

• Once the child is cleared for class, please make sure to put a sticker on the front of their shirt. Make sure the sticker adheres properly as the teachers will not allow a student without a sticker into class.

• You should have a chaperone or an assistant in your Zone, who can assist you by taking students to class or other needs.

• Please wait in your zone till 20 minutes after school starts.

• For parents who come late, please remind them to come early next week.

Chaperones (morning drop-offs)

• Please show up at the assigned Zone (see map) by 9:45 am.

• Assist the temperature taker as needed.

• When the student is cleared for class, make sure they have a properly adhered sticker on the front of their shirt.

• While chaperoning, please try not to hold the hand of the student or touch them unless absolutely necessary.

• Wash/sanitize hands regularly.

• The teachers will not allow a student without a sticker, so if you are chaperoning them to class, make sure they have the sticker when they reach the classroom.

• Please wait in your zone till 20 minutes after school starts (and remind the parents to come early next week).

Chaperones (afternoon pick-ups)

• Please show up at the assigned Zone (see map) at least 5 minutes before class ends.

• Teachers will come with their students to the assigned Zone for the parents to pick them up.

• Please stay with the group for 15-20 minutes after they come to the Zone.

• Students who have not been picked up after 20 minutes of end of class, should be dropped off at the Principal’s office (see map above)
