FAQ

What are the timings of the schoool?

Classes happen every Sunday:

    • Pre-School classes are between 10 a.m. till 11.15 p.m.

    • Grade School classes are between 10 a.m. till 11.30 p.m.

    • HSCP classes are between 8.30 a.m. till 1 p.m.

Please plan to be 15 minutes early to school, so you can get checked in and have your room ready to welcome students.

What is a teacher’s to-do list before the first day of school?

    • Make sure you have access to all the teaching materials for the school year.

    • Make sure you have a roster of all the kids in your class and parent contact details.

      • An email with this information will be sent by Friday, September 10, 2021 5 PM PST.

    • Create a WhatsApp group for your class including at least one parent of each student, by Friday, September 10, 2021.

    • Update the “description” of the WhatsApp group to include the classroom number and their allocated zone for check-in for the class

    • The day before school starts, send a note to the WhatsApp group asking parents to

  1. Only bring a child with no COVID symptoms to Tamil school. Refer to the health screening form.

  2. Come to school by 9:45 am

  3. Make sure all parents and children know the class room number and Zone details.

  4. Send a copy of the Zone map to the WhatsApp group.

  5. Ask the parents to explain the process to the children so they know what to expect.

What do I do before I come to school every week?

    • Go over this checklist.

    • If you answer 'Yes' to any of the questions or have any of the symptoms, 'STAY HOME'.

      • Let the Principals know, so we can find a substitute Teacher.

    • Please park in the Reserved Teacher’s parking off of Palm Ave. (see map below)

Which Zone do I go to?

    • You should have received an email with your class details class and also contains the Zone information.

    • You can also find the zone information for your child’s class from the table to the right

What happens at the Zone and when do I go to my classroom?

    • A volunteer will check your temperature and once he/she has confirmed your temperature is less than 100 F, you can go into your class

    • You should find a whiteboard and hand sanitizer for your use.

    • Please make sure to take a picture of the classroom before the students start using it.

      • We are responsible for leaving the class as we found it. This picture will help reset the classroom if anything has changed.

      • Please remind your class not to take or move anything the Mission San Jose High School Teacher has left in place.

What is the process for letting a child into class every week?

  • All students should have gone through the check-in process, and should have a sticker on their shirts that was given to them.

  • Only let in students who have the stickers.

  • If a student feels sick during class, please take them to the principal’s office and send an email to the Principal with all the kids that were in contact with the kid that day (for contact tracing purposes).

What is the process for letting a student out after class ends every week?

  • Please try to finish class on time as we do not want parents to gather and hang around for extended periods of time.

  • Once class is done, please make sure the classroom was in the same state as it was in the morning.

  • Leave your whiteboard and hand sanitizer outside the classroom, so the volunteer can pick it up.

  • Please take a picture of the classroom after class ends every week (you can delete the picture the following week).

    • This picture will help if we have any escalation from the school.

    • In the extreme event that we get that escalation, we will reach out to the respective Teacher and request for your before and after picture. Most escalations are within the week, so we don't need your picture after a week (or two)

  • Take the students out to the assigned zone and wait in that area till the parents come pick them up.

  • If for some reason a student is not picked up 15 minutes after you go to your assigned zone, please take them to the Principal’s office as marked in the map below.

Is there a map showing the zones, parking and the principal’s office that I can share with the parents?

What is the calendar for this school year?

I have questions, where do I send them?

ITA has introduced a central Help Center. Instead of sending an email to Principals, it is recommended to read the FAQ on the Help Center page and file a Ticket if necessary. Our school name is CTA - Fremont South
