APPLYING TO VOLUNTEER
We're delighted that you're thinking of volunteering!
Please check out our Applying to Volunteer page for the full procedure. If you still have any questions your Site Pastor or Site Ministry Leader will be glad to help.
GOOD PRACTICE IN TEAMS
If you are new on team we would love to welcome you and ask you to read through our guidance on Good Practice in Teams. It has lots of really helpful information that will become second nature but also information for if things don't go to plan.
ADULT:CHILD RATIOS
We aim to keep our ratios simple but occasionally we might have more children than expected. Look here for guidance.
MEDIA TAKING, SHARING, STORING PHOTOS/MEDIA
& STORING SENSITIVE INFORMATION AT HOME
Catalyst Vineyard Church considers it good practice to ensure that any photos/videos of children are taken only with express permission of their parents/carers or the individuals involved if appropriate. Our Count Me In or Event sign ups include options to accept or deny use of photos and/or video of children.
Any photos or videos taken will be used expressly for church purposes of ministry and mission and will be stored electronically on secure networks with strong passwords.
This guidance is for you if:
You report a safeguarding concern
SKLs/SYLs, etc who may need to store information during events such as holiday clubs
To a certain extent it will also be appropriate for those staff who work from home - either through choice or if advised by the Scottish Government.
TYPES OF ABUSE
There are many different types of abuse. We cover the main ones for children and adults here.
CONFIDENTIALITY STATEMENT
Confidentiality and privacy are extremely important to us. Please adhere to our Confidentiality Statement and be assured of our commitment to privacy.

Whilst every case is different, we hope this guide will help you to know what to expect or who you can ask if you need help.
