Many of you will recognize the need to change the planning tools currently in use to plan small group instruction since they are often designed to support guided reading. In order for teachers to implement the new plan for targeted SGI, we encourage you to redesign the planning templates and PLC protocols/processes to uphold this new approach.
To support you with this work, we prepared a sample planning tool that you might want to use or adapt for use in your context.
You can see that it provides space to list the various groups, focus and content with a schedule or small group rotations.
