Does the Chromebook have a dead battery? If the battery light (to the right of the shift button on the keyboard) blinks orange when you press the power button, then the Chromebook needs to be charged.
Does the charger work? If the charger is working, a light will show on the power adapter.
If the Chromebook is plugged into the charger and does not turn on, try to restart the computer. Hold down the refresh key (looks like an arrow in the shape of a circle at the top of the keyboard) and the power button (top right of the keyboard) at the same time for ten seconds. Release the keys, then press the power button once more. If the Chromebook, does not turn on at this point, please fill out a tech request or call Mrs. Minor.
