Goal 1

Goal 1: 5.1.1 The library environment is stimulating, a focal point of learning, a place of community within the school, flexible and provides a variety of spaces to accommodate different activities and learning needs. The library is home to a variety of resources to meet the need of a diverse learning community.

Action - Critical Commitments

• I will provide a diverse collection of print and digital resources

• I will create personalized experiences at point of need for teachers and students

• I will partner with Ms. Hortons Classroom

• I will reinforce a positive experience at Lunch & breakfast @ the Café Connect - Students feel welcomed and appreciated. 

Artifacts of Evidence

• Promote library activities through Canvas page and social media

• Support REACH students/teachers - set up routine and scheduled time with teachers/students

• Purchase of LibraryTrac to support & manage students entering Café Connect 

• The CUBE provides an environment in which collaboration, innovation, and creative problem solving is invited and is encouraged. Students feel safe to explore and ask questions.

Reflection: 

• • Include surveys at the beginning of the year with very specific needs

  • Possible ideas to increase use of resources - promote resources through informal opportunities including partnering with innovation leaders

  • Rotate self-selected makerspace activities - set up monthly schedule to promote. Set up stations - creation space. Promote makerspace more.
