Our aim is to support learners to become mathematical thinkers who embrace the challenge of exploring and solving mathematical problems. Our curriculum provides frequent opportunities for students to explore mathematics through both individual and collaborative problem-solving, in both abstract and practical contexts. We will support learners in building numerical and algebraic fluency, combining teacher-led instruction with exploratory approaches. As they delve into mathematics, they will make connections between concepts using concrete, pictorial and abstract representations and develop to ability to relate their knowledge and skills to everyday life.
