An upcycling clothing workshop was held in the makerspace in June.
Makers turned their clothing into something fresh for summer, repaired holes and rips in stylish ways, resized clothes to fit, and simply repaired what needed fixing.
Our thanks for the tips and tricks go to guest experts, Jana and LaRonda!

A makerspace is a workshop or studio where you can create crafts, learn new skills, and work on projects together using a mix of traditional tools and new technology.
Over three years, the Bayview Towers community is co-designing this makerspace and associated programming with support from CAST, Operation Pathways, and the Boston University Social Learning Lab.
The goal is to create a community-based, multigenerational makerspace in Bayview Towers that supports residents to use STEAM concepts by participating in making activities and workshops.
