Mission Statement

The Cassie Marino Foundation honors the life and spirit of our daughter, Cassie.  She passed away tragically in December 2022 at the age of 19 after finishing the first semester of her sophomore year at Western Michigan University.

The Foundation's primary mission is to provide college scholarships to students towards their journey to attend a four year university.  That was the same dream Cassie was in the process of achieving at the time of her untimely passing.  Cassie loved college life and was succeeding academically and socially.

As of May 2023, four scholarships have been awarded.

Cassie was also very fond of her dog, Doug.  A secondary mission of The Foundation will be to raise and distribute funds to dog rescue groups.

We have no doubt that she would approve of the mission and direction of the foundation in her name.  Funding for the Foundation has come from her family, community, and beyond.  The Foundation has zero operating expenses.  All operative costs are personally funded by Cassie’s family in her honor so 100% of proceeds are applied to the Foundation’s missions.

I will gladly answer any questions or provide additional documentation.  We were approved by the IRS for 501(c)(3) status and have articles of incorporation filed with the state of Illinois.  Thank you for your time, and don’t take family and friends for granted; life can be too short.
