*University rules apply. Cars should not pose a threat to spectators or damage our tracks.
Theses workshops provide opportunities to design, shape, and customize your derby car using tools across think[box].
Assemble a Derby Racer at home, at our workshop or on Derby day and register your car to compete! Check out our Assembly Guidelines for instructions.

Didnt have a chance to make a car? Drop into the Assembly Station to build, repair or test your car before hitting the track!
READY, SET, GO! Built at Sears think[box] by Cleveland Research Devices, the Derby track’s automated starting line launches all cars simultaneously at the push of a button. An integrated stopwatch tracks each racer’s best time.
Bring your backpacks, totes, hats, jeans, and jackets to the Patchwork Station and customize them! Mini Cricut heat presses will be available to attach embroidered and woven patches to your favorite items.
Earn raffle tickets at each station by completing tasks and participating in activities! Drop your tickets into the box for the prize you want to win in the Presentation Area. Raffle winners will be announced at 6:30 PM alongside the Derby Race Category awards.
Guests must be present to claim prizes or awards.
Food from Aladdin’s will be provided for guests, with gluten-free and vegan options available. Water, coffee, and tea will be located near the registration tables.
