We have full access to the following core facilities as a part of Case Western Reserve University

The Protein Expression Purification Crystallization and Molecular Biophysics Core (PEPCMBC) in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics (DPB) is a state-of-art laboratory that provides access to protein expression purification crystallization and molecular biophysical instrumentation. The PEPCC operates as an open, shared-used facility and provides training, technical expertise and assistance to all users. We have recently renovated the baculovirus room. Currently, we are actively employing Bac-to-Bac baculovirus expression system to study Eukaryotic proteins. Read more..

CWRU cryo-EM facility houses state-of-the-art electron microscopes in a newly renovated space (Titan Krios G3i+GIF+K3 camera, FEI Tecnai F20+Tvips F416&DE20 camera, FEI Tecnai T12+Gatan895 camera). The facility is set up to be used with flash-frozen (single particle, cryo-ET and crystallography) samples. The Facility also offers complete conventional TEM services including sample processing, ultramicrotomy, film developing, and photographic printing, as well as immunocytochemistry. Intramural collaboration is available. We welcome trained EM users as well as researchers who wish to be trained.

The facility also offers a robust full service Standare EM service. Read more..
