I am a Palestinian Fulbright scholar with a master's degree in Developmental Psychology with Early Intervention Specialization from Case Western Reserve University. I am interested in Trauma-informed therapy and I am seeking experience in working with children exposed to different types of violence.
I am professionally trained to provide therapy at a clinical setting, which led me to work with children in trouble with the law, in the only juvenile center in Palestine. I previously worked as a Psychosocial Support Facilitator for communities most vulnerable to settler violence.
Driven by my passion for change in my community, I have gained years of experience in variety of fields; gender related issues, counseling, advocacy, and education.
Through my therapy work, I focused on the contextualized interventions, the de-stigmatization and decolonization of mental health and empowerment of girls and females in Palestine.
My future career plan is to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology degree, after gaining more practical and research experience in trauma-related and informed practices with and for marginalized groups.
