The mandatory orientation will take place from July 31, 2023-August 4, 2023. The entire orientation is mandatory.
Please see the tentative orientation schedule below. Please note that this is subject to change and more sessions may be added. Each time the schedule is updated, I will upload it here.
The dress code for orientation will be business casual unless noted here. On Tuesday, August 1st, you will want to dress in professional attire for your class composite photograph. On Thursday, August 3, you are encouraged to dress casually (shorts are fine) because you will be getting your kits, carrying equipment and sorting through boxes. In the afternoon, you will be going through CPR training. For the White Coat Ceremony on Friday, you must be in your seats by 1:40pm. You will be seated in pews and if you are late, everyone will know it because you most likely will have to walk down the center aisle and climb over several people to get to your seat. You should not wear suit coats, jackets or blazers to the White Coat Ceremony, as the white coat will not fit over them. Also, women may want to consider not wearing heels to the ceremony. There are large open hole air conditioning grates that you may have to walk over. You will also be walking a considerable distance after the ceremony to get to the group photograph location and then to the reception.
You will be ordering your scrubs during orientation, and the scrubs will take 1-4 weeks to arrive. While attending classes while waiting for your official scrubs to come in, you may purchase cheap scrubs (any color) to wear or you may dress in business casual attire for classes. Once your scrubs come in, you will wear those official class scrubs for all classes. Please review the official school dress code.
Below the orientation schedule is the schedule for scrub fitting, photos and TB testing. If you have already tried on the scrubs before orientation, you do not have to do it again. If you are already compliant for the TB testing you do not need to appear at your scheduled time. Please make sure you are at your assigned stations at the times shown. Do not switch groups or times with anyone else as we have paperwork already set up for these groups and times.
