CASDA Assistant Director for Research and Program Development Jerome A. Steele sits down with outgoing Executive Director Michael M. Piccirillo Ed.D. to discuss how public education has changed over the course of his tenure at CASDA, the work he's most proud of, and more.
We are interested in partnering with educators to facilitate virtual and in person workshops on a variety of topics.
We are inviting office professionals from our school communities to attend a workshop focused on the critical role they play establishing positive relationships with members of the school community.
This three-hour "ENL Primer," intended for district leadership, content-area academic administrators, and building-level leaders of schools who have ELLs, will focus on strategies for supporting these students and the teachers who teach them.
This workshop will provide attendees with an overview of how to conduct a K-12 MTSS Systems Analysis. Attendees will learn about different evaluative tools that can be used to complete the systems level analysis and the process for developing an MTSS Systems Analysis Report and presentation including analysis findings and recommendations.
This hands-on session will demystify AI technology, providing teachers and administrators with a solid foundation in its workings and practical applications within the classroom setting.

Brett Levy, an associate professor in the University at Albany’s School of Education, has been selected to receive a 2024 Andrew Carnegie Fellowship from the Carnegie Corporation of New York to study strategies for reducing political polarization among youth in the U.S.
On April 25, CASDA honored area individuals whose selfless dedication support and sustain their school communities.
Join us in celebrating this year's class of outstanding students, chosen by their schools on the basis of academic achievements, community service and leadership to their schools or communities, or other unique accomplishments. Each nominated student then selects a teacher who has had a significant influence on their education.
