Meet Bennie
Meet Bennie
We would like to introduce you to our newest “staff member” (Heart Helper), Bennie the Therapy Dog. Bennie is a 2 year-old male Bernedoodle who has graduated from the Therapy Dog Program at Duffy’s Dog Training Center. He is trained to be able to assist and provide emotional support to students and staff in a variety of ways. Bennie’s training was funded by the Kolton Kaiser Foundation, which is a Christian organization that sponsors Therapy Dogs in many of the schools in Southern Indiana.

Global Warrior Club
We are excited to open up a new club this semester called Global Warriors! This club will be opened up to any students who are in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Grade who have a heart for the nations (BWV: 5.3, 5.7). Students who are interested in missions and global partnerships within the world. This can also include students who have lived cross culturally or have global influence within their family story. Students will have the opportunity to talk and share about their cross-cultural experiences, informational activities/partnerships, discuss observations, and pray for mission efforts around the world. We will meet after school from 2:30pm - 3:15pm once a month on the fourth Tuesday of January - April 2026. We will meet for the first time on January 27, 2026. (Additional Meeting Times unless notified: 2/24, 3/31, 4/28) Students will be dismissed from class by announcements to our meeting location. Students will need to sign up Global Warrior Sign Up Form by January 23rd. Participating students can be picked up at 3:15 pm at the tail end of Driveline following those procedures for pick up. Students will be sent to after care at 3:30pm or as marked to do so on the form. If you have more than one child participating please fill the form out for each participating student. My name is Dr. Wendy Wagoner. It is my third year at CAI and it is my joy to coordinate Spiritual Life at CAI with K-5th grade students. I grew up in the Hoosier Heartland of Indiana with a call to teach kids about Jesus since I was ten years old. I have a BS in Christian Education, a Masters Degree in Education and Early Childhood Education. I defended my research on the topic of strategies for spiritual formation of early elementary students at Regent University School of Education. I lived in Tanzania, East Africa for eleven years working with a Foundation to help East Africa with educational efforts and to spread the gospel within the dusty land. We will explore Spiritual Disciplines along with ways to make head and heart connections daily with God. I look forward to partnering with you on this great adventure of raising a generation who "Praises the Lord!"
