Trainings for CTA Districts

New Year Setup

Training/work session preparing districts for the next school year. Covers School Setup, Grading Setup, Attendance Setup as well as other setup areas.

Mass Scheduling

This training is for secondary schools. It is required that you are either familiar with how to input Course Requests in synergy or have attended a Course Request Training. It is recommended that the New Year Rollover has been performed at your District so that you have access to the 2024-2025 school year database. All work will be done in the 2024-2025 system.

This training covers the following:

- How to create a mass scheduling option set (to create a schedule that does not affect the rest of Synergy yet)

- Create and modify sections

- Create and schedule teams, houses, and other applicable scheduling pieces

- Run the scheduler to load students into sections (based on their course requests)

- Find, analyze, and resolve scheduling conflicts

- Locate and understand various scheduling reports and how to use them for troubleshooting.

- How to duplicate Option sets and make changes to them

- “Push Out” a scheduling option set to make it live for students and staff

Schedule Board

Schedule Board is a new Mass Scheduling tool that resides within the Mass Scheduler. It provides a visual representation of sections that can be dragged and dropped from one teacher to another, or from one period/term to another.

Please Note: You must first attend a Mass Scheduling Training or be familiar with the Mass Scheduler.  This tool resides inside the Mass Scheduler and the training focuses on the tool itself and not the other components of the Mass Scheduler that surround it.

This training is for secondary schools. It is recommended that the New Year Rollover has been performed at your District so that you have access to the 2024-2025 school year database. All work will be done in the 2024-2025 Focus.

Elementary Scheduling

This training is for elementary schools. It covers the following:

- Reviewing of the necessary setup

- Creating sections (both homeroom and specialist sections)

- Linking homeroom sections to the appropriate specialist sections (students will then automatically be scheduled into specialist sections when enrolled into a homeroom class).

- Exploring the various ways to schedule students into sections
