CTA staff had the opportunity to sit in on a demo of the new ESR functionality. The Electronic Student Record is a way that certain data can be passed between two Synergy districts. This includes course history and a PDF version of a student's IEP (requires the district to be using Synergy SE). While it's not here yet, Edupoint is currently working on a way to include documents from the Documents tab as well. We expect that functionality to come by the end of September. Please let the help desk know if you are interested in getting this up and running.
The big annual upgrade to v2023-B has been completed. Here is a PDF of key changes and new features.
Hi Everyone and welcome to 2022! Just a reminder that all districts need to pick a date for CTA to run your New Year Rollover (NYR) process. This is the process that will create the 2022-2023 school year in your Synergy environment and add next year's enrollments. Karen has sent out NYR surveys to all districts. Any district that does not respond will have their NYR run during Spring Break using settings from last year/CTA's best judgment.
Many schools will be coming to the end of their Semester 1 term in the upcoming weeks. Please see the Grading Manual for instructions on how to transfer grades to Student Course History.
*Upcoming Training Alert*
There are 2 CRDC training sessions scheduled for next week. These are meant to be working sessions so come ready to dive into the CRDC collection. If you have not done so, please sign up for either session on the Training Page.
EduPoint has finally released most of the manual updates for Synergy v2022. If you use EduPoint's manuals, most have updated versions on their FTP site now.
We have updated our Synergy 101 manual to include information on working with Checklists.
Hi Everyone! Welcome to the new Blog Site! The new site gives us a lot more flexibility in how we present information to our districts. It also allows us to house all of our different sites into one convenient place. The biggest change is how membership is controlled. In the previous site, I could wall the Blog Site off from the rest of the world and made it so that you needed the URL to actually find it. That's not an option anymore so what we've done instead is locked our documentation and videos around a Google Group membership. Anyone who had previously subscribed to the Blog Sites should still have access. Please open a ticket with the help desk requesting new staff members be added to the group as necessary.
