Technology is wonderful, but it does fail. It tends to fail just before an important deadline. For this reason, it is very important to have a back-up plan. Technical issues are not acceptable reasons for missing deadlines. Before you start your course, develop a ‘Plan B’. Some things to consider are:
Where will you work if your normal internet service goes down? Some families have a device with hot spot, or they go to their local library or coffee shop with free wi-fi.
If you have a K12 loaner computer, and it breaks or gets a virus, call K12 Tech Support and notify your Advisor.
Whose computer can you borrow while you wait for K12 to fix it or to send you a replacement?
If you do not have a K12 computer, where will you get your computer fixed if something happens to it? What will you use until your computer is fixed?
