Travel and lodging
CUALHE 2018 will take place in the Global Scholars Hall (GSH), Room 117, at the University of Oregon, in Eugene OR.
Arriving by car
The physical address of Global Scholars Hall is 1710 E 15th Ave., Eugene OR 97403.
Traveling south on I-5 from Portland, take exit 191 Glenwood Blvd., then turn left on Franklin Blvd. towards the University of Oregon.
Traveling north from California on I-5, take exit 192 and follow Franklin Blvd. to the University of Oregon.
Parking is free in U Oregon parking lots on Saturday and Sunday; avoid the parking meters on city streets (e.g. E 15th Ave.). The yellow lots (34E, 46, 51, 55) near Global Scholars Hall on the map at the bottom of this page should have plenty of available spaces.
Arriving by air
The Mahlon Sweet airport in Eugene (EUG) is about a twenty-minute ride from the University of Oregon. The City of Eugene does not allow Uber or Lyft ride share services; information on car rental, taxis, and shuttles is available at the following City of Eugene webpage:

You can also fly into Portland International Airport (PDX), about 2 hours by car or 3 hours by shuttle to Eugene. The Oregon Express Shuttle service has a stop at the UO Student Recreation Center, about three blocks from the Global Scholars Hall event venue.
Lodging
There are a number of affordable hotels near the UO campus, within walking distance of GSH. If you book in August, rates are quite low. Below are some suggestions (the list is not exhaustive).

Meals
CUALHE 2018 registration includes lunch on Saturday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday. Your registration packet (provided upon arrival) will include options for evening meals.
