Treble Choir
This course is an introductory course for the beginning or intermediate high school female choral student. Students are given an introduction to the proper use of the singing voice, emphasizing proper tone placement, breath support, formation of unified vowels, as well as an introduction to the study of sight-singing, ear training and music theory. Scheduled performances and rehearsals are required. This year-long class is designed as a treble choir. Students must commit to take this course both semesters.
Returning students in grades 10-12 are given continued instruction in the proper use of the singing voice, emphasizing proper tone placement, unification of vowel sounds and breath support, as well as continuation in the study of sight-singing and music theory. Scheduled performances and rehearsals are required. This year-long class is designed as a treble chorus. Students must commit to take this course both semesters.
