Beaufort Middle School Bands

Beaufort Middle School is located in Carteret County on the beautiful Crystal Coast of North Carolina. BMS currently has around 90 students in the band program. Each year, the 7th and 8th grade bands participate in the NCBA Concert Band Music Performance Adjudication where they have recently received excellent ratings. BMS has numerous students that audition for and make every year in the All-District Honor Bands in NC.

In the BMS Band, students will learn how to read and express music, how to play instruments, and how to put on quality performances! Students will also learn responsibility, teamwork, and independence. Band is a year-long elective that students must start in 6th grade, but exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis. Throughout the year we do several performances and attend field trips to experience live, high-quality music.
