Any job where a coordinator must visit a private home (home office, home day care, house cleaning, etc.
Jobs where a supervisor is not present. Students cannot work alone as part of the WBL program.
Jobs where students do not have a schedule or may be considered “on call”. Students must Have a regularly scheduled job that coordinators can visit.
Jobs that require students to be delivery drivers.
Jobs that may be too far for the coordinator to regularly visit.
Any job that requires the student to file a 1099. WBL students cannot be subcontractors.
Any job deemed inappropriate, unsafe, or not contributing to the educational success of the student.
Any jobs deemed “hazardous occupations” per the state manual.
The WBL Coordinator has the right to refuse entrance into the program for any job/internship that does not meet the guidelines of the program.
