March 24 & 25, 2020
Days 7 & 8
Hey guys! Sorry I didn't post yesterday. I was busy getting things ready for our new unit. I had planned on doing this unit as a school when we were together, but life has a way of throwing us a curveball and since we are AMAZING Patriots we are going to roll with it and use the technology we have.
The unit we are beginning is on life cycles. We will be working closely with the school chickens. I have moved 2 hens (females) into the coop with Foghorn and we have 8 fertilized eggs!!! We will monitor these eggs over the next 21 days and hopefully we will be ready to hatch some babies when we come back to school!!
I will post some videos on Facebook daily as we check on the eggs. We will candle them and take an inside look at what is going on inside. I am attaching a picture of the different stages of development for eggs. I estimate that some of the eggs are on day 4. Stay tuned for Egg Watch 2020!
Miss you all and hope you are all well! Remember I am an email or message away!!
Much love,
Mrs. Earnest
