Joe Skinner is entering his 3rd season with the Red Devils and serves as the Junior Varsity Head Coach. On the Varsity level, Skinner works with the catchers and is the 1st base coach.

He joined the Devils after a two-sport career in football & baseball at the University of West Georgia. At UWG, Skinner was a three-time All-Gulf South Conference selection as long-snapper in football and was recognized to the GSC Honor Roll as both a football and baseball player. As a baseball player, he hit .300 for his career, with his best season coming in 2021 when he placed among team and GSC leaders with a .330 average.

Skinner prepped locally at Carrollton High School. His senior season he was recognized 1st Team All-State as well as All-Area.

Skinner, who earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Physical Education from UWG, serves as the PE Teacher at Bowdon Elementary.
