A Bowdon High School graduate (2006), I am very happy and proud to be back for my 5th year at Bowdon and my 15th year in education! In my time back in B-Town, our teams have been in playoff contention each season including trips to the Sweet 16, Elite 8, and appearing in the Final 4 twice.
I worked with the UGA baseball team for my 4 years at UGA, I was blessed to be able to travel to the 2008 College World Series where we finished as the National Runner-up. Upon my graduation from UGA in 2010, I began my first teaching job in Jackson County, just north of Athens, GA while my wife was finishing her veterinary degree.
I was a teacher and coach at Jackson County for 6 years following my time at UGA. During my time at Jackson County we made the playoffs for the first time in 30 years, the Elite Eight twice, and the Final 4 in my last year with the Panthers.
Moving back to West GA in 2016, I spent 2 years at Central (Carroll) High School teaching math and coaching varsity baseball. In 2018-19, I was fortunate to be able to take over here at my alma mater where I teach math.
My wife, Amanda (Class of '05), and I live in Bowdon, GA with our daughter, Josie (March 2024), and our minature schnauzer George.
