One way to use Google Forms for quick and painless data collection is to use it for rubrics for projects/essays/presentations. These can be forms you create for yourself to fill out as each student is presenting or as you grade a project, or it can also be created for students to use for peer evaluation. The most effective type of question for a rubric is a "grid" type question. That way students/teachers can rate the topics in your rubric quickly as they are listening to the presentation, and then you can have a paragraph type question where students can type in feedback and general comments for students afterwards.
