Homework

Daily Reading (20 minutes) and Reading Response: 

• • Reading Response will be done Thursdays based on at home reading. 

  • An additional Achieve 3000 article (not including the teacher assigned article described below)may be done in lieu of a night's independent reading (MUST be passed with 75% or higher). 

Achieve 3000 Article:

• • There will be two articles assigned for homework each week (one will require a completed Thought Question).

  • On each Friday, one FREE CHOICE Achieve article will be assigned that students must read and respond to at home before the following Friday. 

  • On Monday, a specific article will be assigned.  The activity ("Respond") must be completed on Monday.  Then Thought Question ("Write") must be completed in Google Classroom on Tuesday.  

  • Both articles MUST be completed by Friday to attend Fun Friday.

  • ALL Achieve article activity MUST be passed with a 75% or higher, or another article needs to be done and passed.

Daily Math: 

• • Every day, except Fridays, your child will have a math assignment due the next day.

  • The day before (sometimes a few days before) a test, there will be an online study guide/practice test to begin studying for the final chapter test. 

  • On test days, please go over and correct any problems that were missed. 

Fun Friday: 

• • All homework and classwork must be completed to participate. 

Homework should not be a long, drawn-out process.  If your child is struggling please don’t hesitate to contact me so we can work toward a solution together.

If there is an occasional reason that your child CANNOT complete a homework assignment, please shoot me a quick email explaining the circumstances. :)
