This past Summer, I reached out to Symbiotic Systems and was allowed to meet with its founder, Paul Bhola. In my interview, I discussed the implications and goals of Microgreens Macrochanges. His suggestions were to find a stable microgreen provider and utilize a grow light instead of natural sunlight. Symbiotic Systems is a biotechnology start-up based in San Diego, California. It designs lights for pharmaceutical plants to maximize growth by manipulating the wavelengths of light on a plant. I wanted to utilize this concept to optimize my current system for planting microgreens. Through implementing these processes, I was able to find some improvement in the efficiency of my microgreen planting. I am grateful for this opportunity and would definitely recommend reaching out to experts in a particular field to gain further insight and advice on how to improve your current practices.
