Director's Note: Congratulations to all that auditioned for the 2026/2027 Chamber Orchestra!! I was so pleased to see how prepared all the students were and how they conducted themselves throughout the audition process. Any audition, no matter the grade or level, is a huge challenge that requires both poise and vulnerability. Auditioning is a skill in itself, and I'm genuinely so impressed with every student's effort to show up and try their best.
In the end, it was exceedingly difficult for me to decide which students are accepted into Chamber Orchestra this upcoming year. With a limited number of chairs and a clear abundance of talent, many of my final decisions came down to fine margins based on audition rubric results and student essays. If you did no receive the placement you hoped for, please do not let this discourage you. No matter what ensemble you are in: you WILL grow and improve as a musician next year, you WILL play excellent music, you WILL collaborate with the other orchestra class, and you WILL become an integral member of our orchestra family.
To our new members: CONGRATULATIONS. Your admission into Chamber Orchestra is a testament to your hard work and commitment to musical excellence here at Carlsbad High School.Â
See you in the fall!
