Direct Early Entry & SRS
How do I get Early Entry? I hear this question almost every day of the school year, so here's the low-down. And yes, I'm very happy to explain it again, because it's complicated!
Direct Early Entry - There are early entry programs that involve completing an online application on university websites. Sometimes they require you to answer questions about you as an individual. Eg. Why you want to study that particular course at that university? When you have shown resilience, team-work, good communication or have volunteered your time for the benefit of others.
Some of these unis then require Carinya to answer some questions about your aptitude for study.
Offers are usually made between June and November, but this can change every year.
SRS - At the end of Term 1 each year, Year 12 can begin their UAC (Universities Admissions Centre) application. Students don't need to be certain about the course preferences they put on the application at this stage because they can change them as much as they like.
Once students have submitted their UAC application, through the same process, they can submit an SRS application. The universities will look at Year 11 results and the School submission in determining offers. There are 3 SRS Early Entry Rounds, 2 in November and one in December before ATARs are released.
