CARPL Viewer contains several annotation features which can be used by radiologists to quickly annotate cases.
Below is a list of features:
Region of Interest (ROI) Tools
ROI tools allow users to mark-up specific areas of images which can be referenced later. Note that all ROIs are stored in a universally applicable JSON format on CARPL.
Rectangular ROI - enables the user to create rectangular ROIs over images
Length Tool - allows users to measure length on images. The length measurements are also saved to the database along with their respective labels.
Ellipse Tool - allows users to create elliptical, including circular, ROIs on images.
Freehand / Polygon Tool - allows users to create freehand ROIs when the mouse left-button is constantly pressed, and allows the user to make polygon ROIs when the user clicks at every point.
AI Panel
The AI panel is a collapsible panel on the right side of the viewer which contains the following:
ROI Details - the AI panel contains details (label, description) of each ROI on the entire study
Form Details - the AI panel contains the annotation form, details of which are created through the annotation template
Comments Box - the AI panel contains a comments box in which the user can leave any comments that they would like
Save, Next, Previous Buttons - use these buttons the navigate between studies
Save & Complete - use this button to save the annotations on the study and proceed to the next scan. Also, all annotations are saved and the scan is marked as 'complete'.
Auto-Save
Turn auto-save on to automatically save ROIs as they are created. No need to click "save".
