Using the Search feature on CARPL, one can do a broad search of the imaging studies that have been uploaded to CARPL.
Navigate to Search in the Dataset Manager
Search can be used on text reports that are available within existing collections, or a new collection may be uploaded using the Create Collection button on the top right.
Using Search Tools:
Using Add Rule, add an empty rule to your search.
On the left, select the column of interest.
In the middle field, select from operations such as “equal”, “not equal”, “contains”, and “doesn’t contain” to query your file.
In the final field, enter the desired search term.
“Equal” and “not equal” return results with exact matches, whereas the “contains”/”doesn’t contain” arguments search within words.
Use “Add group” feature to group rules together. E.g.- when looking for an intracranial bleed, you may want to group the search terms “bleed” “haemorrhage” and “fluid” using an OR operator, seen on the top left of any group. Similarly, when excluding a group of search terms, one can first search for them and then later exclude them all using the NOT operator.
Once your Search is successful and you have the desired studies in place, you may review them. Each search result highlights the search term in the studies, for ease of use. Seen here: the word "odul” used to look for nodules, is highlighted in its respective field.
Use the check-box on the left of any study to select/deselect it. Once a desired dataset has been achieved, you may use it further:
Download: You may download all results from Search, or select results. Tip: Select all results using the Check-Box above the line, on the left of column names to select all results, and manually deselect any that you want to exclude.
Dataset: Using the “Add to Dataset” feature, add your Search results to a new or existing Dataset.
Upload textual reports/Metadata either from uploading a CSV file or Importing from an existing dataset
Create a new collection for the selected cases.
Add more data to the existing collection using Add File feature.
Download selected cases or all cases in a CSV format with Download button.
To exclude some particular condition from the total sets use "Exclude Query" feature . This will show cases exclusive of those which were already used from that query.
Save a query for future use by selecting "Save query"
