C.A.R.E. values every aspect of our town’s infrastructure—the essential systems and people that drive economic growth, deliver vital services, and enhance our quality of life. In collaboration with local officials, we aim to strengthen our infrastructure, recognizing that it extends beyond roads and bridges to include social systems and access to information.
C.A.R.E. identifies three key types of infrastructure that makes Leicester a great place to live:
Physical Infrastructure: The physical and capital systems that power our economy, including roads, bridges, energy sources, water supply networks, and waste management systems.
Social Infrastructure: The people, facilities, and institutions that sustain our community and enrich daily life—our town government (employees and volunteers), schools, emergency services, cultural activities, safe neighborhoods, and a clean environment.
Information Technology Infrastructure: The hardware, software, and networks that enable the flow of information and ideas, and support learning, communication, and innovation across our town.
C.A.R.E. Leicester is working on many projects that continue to improve the lives of people in our community.
