C.A.R.E. Leicester recognizes that educational success is a shared community responsibility. In collaboration with local officials, we aim to enhance our schools by promoting academic excellence, strengthening partnerships with local businesses and organizations, using our schools as community hubs, and advocating for the resources necessary to ensure the success of students, educators, and families.

C.A.R.E. and its volunteers have completed numerous projects at the schools and remain committed to serving whenever their support is needed.

Wolverine Grill Preparation for Department of Elementary and Secondary Education

Prior to approving the launch of the Culinary Arts program at the high school, the Massachusetts Department of Education conducted an inspection of the restaurant. C.A.R.E. assisted in preparing the facility for the inspection and will continue to make updates and improvements as needed to support the program. Currently we are working on adding a new Veterans Corner called "You served us, now we're serving you."

Annual Community Reading Day

Many community members participated in the annual Community Reading Day at the Leicester Elementary School. As much as the children enjoyed it, the volunteers enjoyed it even more! Just ask Rose Wolanski, one of the C.A.R.E. volunteers.

Elves on the Common

The C.A.R.E. team and Parks and Recreation worked with LHS students to create and produce some elves to place on the Town Common over the holidays. The students in Mr. Richardson's class cut out the elves and primed them. The rest of us painted them, and Scott Weikel installed them. A great team effort!

Winslow Ave. Offices

The C.A.R.E. team cleaned and painted the administrative offices at the Winslow Avenue Career and Technical Education facility, enhancing both the appearance and functionality of the space.

Team Up 2 Clean Up

One important aspect of C.A.R.E. Leicester's Team Up 2 Clean Up project is educating the community about environmental issues. At the last Evening with the Arts event, our three art teachers and their students created a display titled, "Art for Earth's Sake." Since visual art has a unique ability to spark awareness, foster empathy, and inspire action, C.A.R.E. used this display to encourage town residents to participage in the annual Town Cleanup.
