Early Admission for High School Students

Early Admission and Dual Enrollment is available to high school students in grades 9-12. The options include:

  • High School Sponsored (Dual Enrollment) - This option allows district-approved public high school students to earn both high school and college credit for designated coursework. The school district is billed for the authorized amount of tuition and fees (students are responsible for book costs.) Billing is limited to a maximum dollar amount; students must pay any costs above the limit. Approval of courses and billing authorization is required from the high school principal and/or school district office.
  • State Sponsored (Dual Enrollment) - This option allows district-approved non-public high school students to earn college credit while still in high school. The State of Michigan is billed for the authorized amount of tuition and fees (students are responsible for book costs). Billing is limited to a maximum dollar amount; students must pay any costs above the limit. Approval of courses and billing authorization is required from the high school principal and/or representative.

To Apply:

The following steps must be completed to enroll in courses for the Early Admission/Dual Enrollment program (See Admission Steps, below):

  1. Submit a Payment & School Authorization Form (including student, parent and school official signature) either through the Admission Account or directly from the school to the Office of Admissions & Outreach (fax to 586.226.4787 or e-mail to earlyadmit@macomb.edu).
  2. Applicants should watch their email and check their Admission Account.
