At the start of our expedition, we wanted the children to be excited and engaged by our key question. In order to achieve this, we planned a series of immersive experiences to capture their imagination and spark their interest.
To launch our next expedition, the children had the opportunity to experience a Christmas dinner with presents to think about when and why we give gifts to others. The children received gifts of coal, oranges and bookmarks to make links to Sikhism and to start thinking about what is the most important gift we can give.

Cooking/baking with Amy to show the value of ‘waste’ products - using pumpkin following carving.
Children will be given the opportunity to use recipes to create some products that we can donate to others. This will encourage children to consider how to use all of a food product rather than just parts of it.
