To begin the DT case study, the children were asked to explore acts of kindness they have done for others. This led on to children sharing when others have been kind to them. E.g supporting them when they feel upset and sharing with them when playing.
Before starting to make their final product, it was important that the children got the chance to plan what their product would look like and complete a draft of their learning. This gave children the opportunity to critique their learning and suggest areas of development for the final draft. The children used I praise, I notice and I wonder to critique their learning.
Now that children knew how to make amendments to their draft, they started to make the final product. The children understood the importance of creating beautiful learning and something they could be proud of. The children used their creative styles to make each stained glass window unique and beautiful. They learned how to join pieces of wood to create a stable base for their stained glass window. I/m sure you'll agree they did themselves proud.
