Week 8

In such a short space of time we have completed lots of work to go on our information boards. We worked hard on:

Fact files for African animals

Fact files for Arctic and Antarctic animals

Food chains for African animals

Food chains for Arctic and Antarctic animals

Colour mixing investigation

Pointillism practice

African animal footprints

Arctic and Antarctic animal footprints

Now it was time to consolidate all of our work and send it over to the XP comms team, ready for our boards to be completed.

Once the XP team worked their magic, it was time for the final part of our Summer Expedition - to deliver our information boards to Flamingo Land! We had quite a long journey to get there but it was totally worth the wait, we loved seeing our work displayed in a public place and were so proud to spot our work on the information boards.

We cannot believe that they will be up over the summer holidays so lot's of visitors can learn about African, Arctic and Antarctic animals from our expedition work.

The staff at Flamingo Land were blown away at how hard we'd worked and were also very proud to display children's work in their zoo. They couldn't believe it was all created by children aged 5 to 7!

We had such a good day at Flamingo Land, we even got to have a look around the zoo and spot the animals that we had been learning about!

Check out the video below to see how much fun we had!
