Student Interventions
WIN TIME
We expect students to be given opportunities to meet reading expectations. Emerging readers should be reading for 60-90 minutes each day. Part of that time is spent in Reading WIN TIME groups four days a week.
Additional Interventions have been added to help students develop a deeper understanding of the mathematics being taught in elementary school.

Lexia
Kindergarten students receive 60 minutes of reading interventions Tuesday - Fridays. During this time students are exposed to digital activities in phonemic awareness allowing them to build on their academic skills needed as a developing reader.

Speech
Students who have been identified as needing Speech are provided that through Tammy Blackburn. She is the Speech teacher. Ms. Bryndee assists her in providing this service for students.

Special Education
At risk students are given additional support through our resource program. Mrs. Bobbi Jo Gunter is our Intervention Specialist.
She has highly trained teaching assistants that help her work with identified students and the IEP process.

School Counseling
Students receive monthly classroom lesson from the school counselor to help the develop strategies in social skills and understanding the feelings of others.
