Student Enrichment

Students are given many opportunities to explore the world and make real life connections at school.   We have a wonderful collection of teachers on staff prepared to teach Music, Art, Lego Lab, Library, ST Math, and P.E. as well as Life Skills needed to prepare students for the future.

60 Minute Rotations

Two days a week students participate in Enrichment Rotations.  On Long Day Rotations, grade level classes will rotate seeing one Specials Teacher a week for a total of 60 minutes.  An example of a rotation schedule is available in the DOC below.

Art: Ms. Brooke Bishoff is our Art teacher. All classes will be provided instruction once a week and will be encouraged to participate and learn to appreciate the arts while expressing themselves creatively.

Librarian: Mrs. Amy Richens is the media aide. The students go to the library once a week for 30 minutes.
Central to every successful school is an amazing library. The library at Creekview Elementary is filled with books, materials, and other resources that help our students become lifelong learners. Our librarian, Mrs. Richens, helps students find books that are just right for them to instill a love of reading. Whether they want to explore the dinosaurs of the Jurassic, ancient castles of Europe, or just relax with an inviting story, she tries to find the perfect match for them. She also reads aloud to students every week, helping them learn lifelong skills and character traits through stories and guided discussions. Younger students are just as important to the school and its library as they are able to enjoy songs, learn nursery rhymes, and other age-appropriate activities during weekly reading time to help with crucial, cognitive development. The library is a place designed with students in mind and offers something for everyone.  Want to know if a book is in our library? *Click here*
Physical Education Specialist: Ms. Jacki Houskeeper is our PE instructor.  The goal of Physical Education is to provide regular participation in physical activity for all students K-5th grade, to achieve and maintain a healthy level of physical fitness, to value physical activity for health and enjoyment, to challenge self-expression and social interaction.  In the gym is a large PE Word Wall that allows students to visualize how "Locomotor, Non-Locomotor, Pathways, or Direction" words relate to ways they move their body in motion and patterns during physical activity. The most important part of PE is to teach Life Skills. These include integrity, perseverance, safe practices, adherence to rules, respect for self and others, cooperation and teamwork.

ST Math: Mrs. Eva Wood will be our ST MATH teacher.  This visual Math program helps students develop alternative strategies for mathematics in the real world and in the classroom.
