About the Lab
Who can apply for a Digital Arts Lab grant?
Anyone aged 16-25 living, working or studying in the Bradford district.
Anyone wanting to collaborate with others on a project. There must be two or more people involved. Don’t know anyone? Come to our introductory Google Meet from 1 - 2pm on 8th June.
Anyone wishing to try something new and learn new skills.
What kind of digital art will be funded?
Any form of digital art, including (but not limited to)…
Mobile apps.
Videogames,
A series of TikToks.
AI generated works.
XR/AR/VR experiences.
Interactive film, web or audio experiences.
We’d love to encourage your weirdest, strangest, subversive and most countercultural ideas! Your end product can be a design, a slide deck, video, working prototype or even just an idea.
What do you get out of it?
A £1000 grant for each team, to spend on your time, any materials & tools - 50% paid up front and 50% at the end.
A chance to collaborate with other digital artists and creative technologists.
Build and share your skills – try something new and learn from others.
Mentoring - we’ll introduce you to experienced people who can offer advice and guidance.
When does it start & end?
8th June - Launching the programme. An introductory event to answer everyone’s questions and meet potential collaborators.
18th June - Deadline for applications
23rd June - Successful applications notified.
28th July - A 6-week period to complete your idea, prototype or concept, including three bi-weekly checkins every other Friday.
5th August - Showcase & review the cohort’s work.
