Charging Issues?
If the orange or blue light is on, but the Chromebook will not turn on, hold down the power button until the orange or blue light turns off, wait a few seconds and then turn your Chromebook back on.
If the Chromebook doesn’t turn on after attempting step above, plug the Chromebook into a charger and check that the light turns on. Let it charge for 5 minutes if it does not turn on right away.
On an Acer Chromebook, if the light doesn’t turn on when you plug it in, plug the charger into the other side of the Chromebook. Lenovo Chromebooks only have one charging port.
Make sure power charger is a working charger by trying another charger.
If the power charger is not charging, unplug the charger then wait 5 seconds, then plug in again. Sometimes the power charger needs to be rebooted.
If power outlets are still not working: Staff - submit a radar ticket. Student/Parent contact your teacher.
Other troubleshooting tips:
Power adapter - Make sure the connection to the wall and the power brick are securely attached.
Try a different outlet.
Make sure your surge protector/power strip is turned on.
You may need to wait a few minutes for the battery to charge the Chromebook after plugging it in before it will turn on.
