Structural Drafting

This course introduces the student to the knowledge base and technical skills for structural steel drafting. Areas of study include structural steel, high strength bolts, welding symbols and structural truss floor plans. Emphasis will be placed on personal and professional ethics, and students will explore a variety of career opportunities. Students will utilize problem-solving techniques and participate in laboratory activities to develop an understanding of course concepts and teachers will provide each student with real world learning opportunities and instruction related to drafting, design and related engineering occupations. Safety instruction is integrated into all activities.

Assignments - Every Monday the student is given an assignment sheet. This sheet specifies what the student is to turn in for that week and the total possible points they can earn. The same sheet can be found on Schoology under the assignment folder.
