Introduction to CAD

Areas of study include computer system components, various software types, user interface, basic geometry, working aids, dimensioning and plotting various types of drawings. Emphasis will be placed on personal and professional ethics, and students will explore a variety of career opportunities. Students will utilize problem-solving techniques and participate in activities to develop an understanding of course concepts. The teacher will provide each student with real-world learning opportunities and instruction related to drafting, design, and engineering occupations. Safety instruction is integrated into all activities. Students are encouraged to become active members of SkillUSA for additional co-curricular opportunities that enhance student achievement, develop student leadership, and support experiential learning.

Assignments - Every Monday the student is given an assignment sheet. This sheet specifies what the student is to turn in for that week and the total possible points they can earn. The same sheet can be found on Schoology under the assignment folder.
