I am excited to teach Mathematics to CFA’s fifth graders this year! Together, we will build strong problem-solving skills while growing as leaders, learners, and active members of the CFA community.
My family moved to Wilmington from New York City in 2010 after the birth of our daughter, and we have loved discovering the natural beauty that North Carolina has to offer. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, reading, walking on the beach, and spending time with my family.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a minor in Mathematics, as well as a Master of Science in Educational Technology.
I love being the Fifth Grade Reading teacher at Cape Fear Academy! I believe that students learn by doing – the best way to learn is to get involved in the content. I strive to help each and every student become the best reader, writer, and citizen they can be. I look forward to guiding them through the journeys and discoveries that make up the 5th grade!
I grew up in Winston-Salem, NC, but after moving to Wilmington in 2002, I will never be able to live too far from the beach. In my spare time you can always find me with my nose in a book and my toes in the sand.
I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, a Masters of Education in Language and Literacy, and a Gifted Education Certification from UNC Wilmington. Go Seahawks!
I am so happy to be joining the Fifth Grade team as the Science and Social Studies teacher! I believe students learn best when they are curious, actively engaged, and encouraged to explore and discover through hands-on learning and research. I look forward to guiding students through the experiences and discoveries that make fifth grade such a memorable year!
Originally from Nashville, I have loved living in Wilmington for the past 11 years. I enjoy running, being outdoors, relaxing with a good book, and cheering on the Tennessee Vols!
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Tennessee and a Master of Teaching from Belmont University.
