Honors English 10

Our focus in Honors English 10, in alignment with our sophomore World History curriculum, is to explore literature and readings from around the world.

We will be starting our journey by looking homeward and considering what brings people together, and what forces threaten to pull them apart? We will delve briefly into our summer reading and this question while we get to know each other. After that, we will embark on the following units throughout the year :

UNIT 1: To what do we owe our primary ALLEGIANCE?
UNIT 2: At what point does the pursuit of PROGRESS become dangerous?
UNIT 3: To what extent is an individual RESPONSIBLE for themselves?
UNIT 4: Who gets POWER and why?
