Technology Applications

Technology Applications is a one-semester elective taken by all seventh grade students at Canyon Junior High. In Technology Applications (Tech App for short), students learn a variety of computer and technology skills. Students will use desktop computers equipped with Windows 10.

Students will learn to key by touch, increasing both speed and accuracy. Students will also gain proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, digital citizenship, Internet use and safety, and computer basics--systems and operations. Students will use Microsoft Office, G Suite for Education, EduTyping, Photoshop, and a few other web apps and programs to build their technology expertise.

The knowledge and skills gained in Tech App will provide a strong foundation to be successful in today's 21st century world. Tech App also provides the groundwork for BIM I.
